What the free plan includes
The free plan is a genuine way to build and publish, not a locked demo. Here is what you get:
- $5.00 of credit, given once when you sign up. No card is required.
- The Gust model, which is quick and well suited to simple apps and fast iteration.
- A live preview for every app, in desktop and mobile layouts.
- Up to five live apps at once on free breezify.dev subdomains.
- Built-in data storage, so lists, submissions, and saved items persist.
What the free plan doesn't include
It is worth being clear about the limits so there are no surprises. The free credit is a one-time amount, not a monthly refill. The Breeze and Tempest models are part of paid plans, as are custom server code, third-party integrations such as Stripe and Slack, custom domains, and the ability to view, edit, and export the generated code. Free apps carry a small Breezify badge; badge-free publishing starts on Plus.
There are a few practical caps too. Prompts on the free plan can be up to 500 characters, deployed apps are limited to 1,000 page views a month, and a free deployment expires after 30 days unless you renew it. None of this stops you from building something real, but it does shape what suits the free plan best.
Getting the most from $5.00
Credits are used each time you generate or refine an app, and the amount depends on the model and on how much code is produced. A few habits stretch them considerably. Be specific in your first prompt, so you spend less on corrections. Combine several changes into one refinement. Start from a template when one is close to what you want. And keep the app focused: a tight tool with one job costs less to build than a sprawling one.
What works well on the free plan
Projects that rely on the built-in data storage and don't need outside services are the sweet spot: personal trackers, link-in-bio pages, waitlists, small portfolios, simple quizzes, and prototypes you want to show someone. They publish to a real URL, so you can share them immediately.
When it makes sense to upgrade
The Plus plan, at $20 per month, is the natural next step once an app matters to you. It brings 40 credits every month, the Breeze model, backend support and integrations, custom domains, and full code access. There is no obligation, and your existing apps aren't affected whether you upgrade or not. If you do cancel later, your balance returns to the free allotment.
Example: a habit tracker you can build on the free plan
This kind of project uses only what the free plan offers.
Prompt
Build a habit tracker. I can add habits, tick them off each day, and see a streak counter and a simple weekly progress bar for each one. Use a calm, minimal design with a dark mode.
What you would get
- A list of habits with a one-tap daily check-off.
- A streak counter and weekly progress bar for each habit.
- A minimal design with light and dark themes.
- Saved data, so your streaks are still there when you come back.
